Research on the Use of Design-Build Delivery Methods
Building on last year’s effort to characterize aggregate trends in the use of design-build procurement in the U.S. water and wastewater sectors, the Water Design-Build Council’s (WDBC) 2018 research will examine the specific trends being used in the industry of fixed-price design-build, progressive design-build, and CMAR. As with the results from last year’s endeavors, the data collected from the 2018 survey will further broaden the industry’s knowledge about the use of collaborative delivery methods. Understanding this use requires responses from:
Owners
Design engineers/solution providers
Technology and related suppliers
Contractors
Others, including academics
The benefit to everyone is a better understanding of the advantages derived from each of the three major collaborative procurement approaches for water and wastewater projects. Please know that your participation in this survey is of vital importance! Just click on the link and do it!

Can P3s Accelerate Puerto Rico’s Path to Recovery?

A crippling economic crisis and population decrease already painted an uncertain future for the people of Puerto Rico. Two major back-to-back hurricanes later, questions about the future turned to questions about survival. No water. No power. No communications. Scarce supplies. While conditions are improving, there are still thousands of people without power, water, and a safe sustainable infrastructure.
