WDBC Welcomes Former Advisor Member McCarthy as Regular Member
An advisor member of the Water Design-Build Council since 2017, McCarthy recently upgraded their membership to become a regular member of the Council. McCarthy Building Companies, Inc., is a premier national builder, committed to supporting and improving the critical infrastructure that connects our communities and keeps them running smoothly. From early in the design phase, through construction and start up, their national Water Services team provides general contracting, construction management, program management, and design-build services for water treatment, water reclamation, and wastewater treatment projects. Delivering an exceptional experience for their clients while ensuring superior quality and safety embedded in every aspect of their work is what drives them.
Chris Anvik, former WDBC advisor group chair, will be representing McCarthy on the WDBC Board of Directors. Chris is a senior vice president of preconstruction for McCarthy’s national water sector. Chris oversees McCarthy’s national water preconstruction team and is focused on providing clients with an exceptional preconstruction experience. Chris has more than $2 billion of water/wastewater collaborative-delivery project (CDP) experience across multiple states. As a steward of the CDP process, he has helped first-time and experienced CDP clients realize the benefits of aligned project teams.
Joining the board as an alternate for McCarthy will be Michaela Rempkowski, PE, DBIA, ENV SP. Michaela is a licensed professional chemical engineer and serves as an integrated design manager for McCarthy. She has served municipal water and wastewater clients for over seven years as a designer and has spent the last year creating methods to streamline integration, quality, and innovation in water infrastructure construction. Her priority as an integrated design manager is to bridge the gap between the designer and builder in collaborative-delivery projects (CDP). Michaela built her entire design and construction career under CDP methods.
Also joining as an alternate to the board will be Joe Brunsman. Joe serves as the senior vice president business unit leader of McCarthy’s national water sector. Under his leadership, McCarthy’s national water team has focused primarily on collaborative-delivery projects (CDP) and providing certainty with McCarthy’s self-perform expertise in civil, concrete, and mechanical trades. Joe’s focus on building a culture defined by proactive collaboration and a “one-team” approach empowers McCarthy’s project teams to create an exceptional experience for all involved.
